Amiral Gestion continues to develop and to improve its governance

Paris, 14th January 2021 – After a busy 2020 on the development front, Amiral Gestion makes improvements to its governance.

New joiners

Sébastien Ribeiro joined the investment team in 2020 as a senior fund manager for French small & mid cap funds, while 4 analysts were also hired to cover European stocks, Asian stocks and the credit market.

The sales team was also shored up with Ugo Emrinian and Sandrine Melendez arriving at the start of the year. Stéphane Lemuet, meanwhile, joined the asset management company to expand the wealth management team after having been involved in developing Banque Privée 1818 since 2011.

Another step forward in Responsible Investment and CSR

In 2020, Amiral Gestion also welcomed the two co-founders of Efires, a consultancy offering specialist strategic advice and operational support in the areas of Responsible Investment (RI) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This step forward in developing our RI and CSR capabilities is part of the strategy that Amiral Gestion kicked off in 2015 when it took over management of SRI mandates on behalf of ERAFP and FRR.

Véronique Le Heup and Nadia Tihdaini, the two co-founders of Efires, will be tasked with reinforcing our practices and ideas in the field of RI in order to generate positive and tangible impacts, for instance through closer shareholder engagement with the businesses we invest in.

Governance changes

Amiral Gestion's governance underwent some changes in late 2020, with François Badelon stepping down as Chairman of Amiral Gestion while holding onto his shareholding in the company. **Julien Lepage **has now replaced him as Chairman. Julien remains Chief Investment Officer and continues to devote time to managing funds.

Nicolas Komilikis remains as Managing Director of the company together with all the other members of the Executive Committee, which has been in place for close to 10 years. Amiral Gestion remains an independent company owned by all its long-standing partners and its employees.

"Growth has been both vibrant and carefully managed over these past 10 years, and throughout this time we have steadily expanded our investment teams and structured all our services to cater to our diversifying client base and comply with the latest regulations. We feel enthusiastic about this new decade that has just begun and we shall work as diligently as ever to deliver quality long-term returns for our clients by taking a responsible approach to supporting the businesses we invest in."
